Four-Tees Engineers are immensely proud to see the first of their manufactured nesting structures installed in the North Sea. A successful culmination of the close and collaborative working relationship with our client Red7Marineand the energy giant customer Orsted. The structures were fabricated as a kit of parts in our fabrication facility before being transported to Lowestoft where they were erected by our site team. The finished structure was then lifted onto the large jack-up barge operated by Red7Marine for transportation to their installation location. Working with our client Red7, our teams successfully completed the installation.

The 65-tonne Avian Nesting Structures will provide safe nesting locations for endangered bird species such as black-legged kittiwakes. The work is part of an environmental compensation programme for the Hornsea 3 wind farm which when completed will be the largest wind power plant in the world.
