Detailing, fabrication, and installation of seven 26 tonne steel fender panels to support the fitting of large pneumatic fenders for berthing of roll on – roll off vessels. Access to the works was provided by suspended scaffold platforms, cantilevered over the quayside. To minimise on-site work, the fender panels were fabricated off-site and delivered in two halves for welding together before the completed, 26 tonne units were transported to berths 34-35. Loading restrictions at the berth required a 200t crane to be sited 15m back from the edge of the quay.
