Four-Tees completes three projects for Transport for Wales

Four-Tees have completed their first three bridge projects for Transport for Wales (TfW) working with our valued and regular customer AmcoGiffen.

The rail underbridge structures at Gelli Bodringallt UB, Afon Rhondda Fach UB and Church Road UB have been sensitively strengthened and refurbished. FTE completed survey, detailing, fabrication, off-site surface coatings and installation of various structural strengthening improvements.

The repairs included bottom flange and web plates, new bearing stiffeners, stiffener repairs and girder end plate replacements. Gavin Davies Director at Four-Tees Engineers commented “I was immensely proud of our in-house design and project team. I was delighted by the praise I received from our customer and TfW representatives, the feedback to our team described their hard work and efforts to complete the structures as brilliant. They also shared how pleased they are with the quality delivered and this feedback will mean the world to my team.” Gavin added “these schemes are perfectly suited to our one stop shop approach providing in-house survey, design, fabrication and installation services removing the risk of traditional interfaces between different providers.”
